The New Varna Fishing Port

A project for fishing port called “Quarantine” is underway on the territory of Asparuhovo residential area, Varna municipality. The project is funded by the “Maritime and Fisheries” Programme through the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. Its total value is 13.7 million leva, of which 8 million is a grant and 5.7 million – own financing. The project duration is 30 months, until November 2020.

ABORA IV expedition: The reed boat ABORA IV sails from Varna

On August 11th, 2019 a big square sail was set by the ABORA team for the first time. The reed boat was built near Beloslav (Varna Region) by Aymara Indians, volunteers, students and cadets from the Naval School. The organizers of the expedition headed by Dr.Dominique Görlitz – ABORA IV project team leader , claim that the sea vessel has shown signally good maneuverability.

#BLUESPROUT- 2nd Project Meeting
The second meeting of the BLUESPROUT project partners took place on 11-12 July.
In the splendid premises of SPI – Porto, Maltese Italian Chamber of Commerce, Varna Economic Development Agency, FVB (The Hive), Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe, UNIVERSITA TA MALTA, met to discuss the state of the art of the project.
